Here is the study guide for the NE States Test on TUESDAY.  Students were asked to bring their book and workbook home for the weekend.

Test Date: Tuesday, September 18th
You should be able to:
·        Match the 11 Northeast States to their capitals (use book p. 38/map we made in class; http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm)
·        Use a blank, numbered map to match the state to its name
·        Read a population density map (p. 39)
·        Know basic map skills (direction/compass rose; map scale; types of specialty maps (p.17); map key & its purpose)
·        Define Mayflower Compact (p. 42); Mass Production (p.45); Democracy (p.42 & p.46); Declaration of Independence vs. Constitution (p.46); population density (p. 52-53)
·        **Describe similarities/differences between life in a big city and life in a small town (e.g. housing; jobs; transportation; activities/ things to do) (p.54-59)

Greetings!
Here is tonight's homework:
  • Reading: Log; quiz Thursday on Grandfather's Journey story and vocabulary
  • Spelling: wkst due Thursday
  • Math: some students needed to finish a worksheet
  • Science: STUDY -- Test Tomorrow!!
  • Social Studies: A Study Guide for the NE States test came home today.  The test is next Tuesday, September 18th.  Here is an e-copy of the study guide:
