It's true-- no homework, reading log, or agendas tonight!!!! Yahoo!!!  Please check yellow folders for a few things that can stay home, and a few that need to come back to school.  Also, if you haven't signed or returned your child's midterm yet, I need those as well.

Time's Up...CRAZY Thursday

EEEK!  We are running out of days to get everything reviewed!!  I'm sure you've seen the packs and packs of review work that we've discussed in class, and students starred or circled any problems that they felt unsure about.  PLEASE take some time before Wednesday to review these problems with your child, to make sure they understand before the test on Wednesday.  My door (and email!) are always open, too! :)

Tonight's homework:

• Reading: Log; finish packet
• Spelling: study for test
• Math: finish packet 4
• Study for DR Quiz (last one!!!!!!)

Tomorrow is the reward party for our class raising the most money in the Spell-a-Thon!!!  We get to wear pajamas for FREE!  It's also Crazy Hair Day for a 25cent donation to Relay for Life.

Tuesday

Hello!  The to-do list for tonight is a bit lengthier than normal, but shouldn't be too rough.  Here ya go:

• Reading: Log;
• Language Arts: finish Direct Object worksheet
• Spelling: study words
• Math: finish Perimeter worksheet (perimeter = add all sides)
• Science: on NB paper, neatly write 3 questions you have for Bill Meck (he'll be here tomorrow, which means we'll be on Lex-18 evening news!)

Please don't forget that we're still collecting for Relay for Life.  We have not raised nearly what we did last year, so please donate whatever you can!

Hello!  Please don't forget about career projects--they are due on Thursday morning.  If you plan to stay after school on Wednesday with Mrs. Lloyd for last minute finishing touches/help, please don't forget to send in a written note. 

Also, if you plan to chaperone the field trip on April 30th, please be sure to let us know by MONDAY if you haven't told us already (or didn't mark it on your permission slip).  We have to send in a final count.  If you decide after Monday that you'd like to go, you're still welcome to go; we just cannot guarantee you a seat in our section.

The practice K-PREP assessment has been postponed to next Friday morning. 

Next week is a big week--we are wrapping up content and beginning to review for the test...we have 4-H on Monday...and even a few guest speakers (including BILL MECK!).

Thursday

Here's what's happening...

• Career Projects are due next Thursday, April 19th.  Students have been working on these in class, and should have a pretty decent start on their research.  Their final project should be in the form of a powerpoint, brochure, or poster.  A letter came home about this a few weeks ago from Mrs. Lloyd.  Mrs. Lloyd will be staying after school tomorrow (FRIDAY) and next WEDNESDAY, both until 4:00 if students need a computer or just need some assistance.  If you'd like your child to stay after either or both days, we MUST have a note in writing, and you must provide transportation at 4:00.  Email/call Mrs. Lloyd if you have any questions.
• Reading HW: Log; study for Tia Lola test
• Spelling: study for test
• Study for DR Quiz

Don't forget we're still collecting money for Relay for Life, Pampered Chef orders (deadline extended to next Friday), and yearbook orders.

Hello, faithful blog followers! :)  We apologize for the field trip fiasco--please sign and return the BLUE permission slip with the field trip dated April 30th, and see the details for money amounts to send as well.  At this point in the year, we have so many students going in so many different directions.  Thanks for understanding that we're trying to make magic happen around here--and sometimes we don't get it right the first time!  Haha!!
