Marvelous Monday

The study guide for the science test came home today.  In case you need it, here you go:

You should be able to:
·        Define the following terms: living, nonliving, once living, habitat, population, ecosystem, community, producer, consumer, decomposer, scavenger, food chain, food web, niche, herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, climate, environment, conservation
·        Describe the following ideas:
o   How a food chain works / how animals get energy
o   Slow and rapid changes to an ecosystem and their effects
o   How humans impact ecosystems
o   Relationship between producers, consumers, decomposers
o   Relationship between predators, prey, and scavengers
o   Examples of producers, consumers, decomposers
o   Characteristics of some habitats (i.e. describe a tundra’s climate & what animals/plants live there)
Reread chapters 3 and 4 in your science book to help. Happy Studying!
